Drugs & a dead dad
Quote:brief description
Some stories just make you wonder

story

If this really went down the way Buffalo police think it did, then this one has gone from “tragic story of a child witnessing her father’s murder” to “what the hell was he thinking?” And now it may be even sadder.

Thursday night, a Tonawanda man died after he was shot while behind the wheel of his car on Playter Street, in the Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood. His five year old daughter, who was in the backseat, was also hit and suffered minor injuries.

What was a guy from the suburbs doing in a not-so-great city neighborhood? Late at night? You guessed it….police say he was there to buy drugs. WITH HIS FIVE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE CAR.

After he was shot, police say the father drove about half a block, where the car crashed into a house near the corner of Playter Street and Paderewski Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene….the daughter was taken to ECMC.

While this was going on….back in the area where the shooting took place, police found another shooting victim. That man was treated at ECMC and released. Police have a hunch the two shootings are related.

But back to dad. I’m not going to be one of those people who get all high and mighty and say anyone who would do that deserves what he got. Not yet, anyway. Not until we know the whole story. But if it’s true…..he put his child at risk, and that poor girl may be traumatized for life because of this.

He paid with his life. She may continue to pay for his actions. Sad….very, very sad.

RE: Drugs & a dead dad
Drugs are fine if you do them right in my opinion. However, he shouldn't have put his kid in danger.
