Hey Guys, i just wanted to know how fast and how slow the ISP's are all over the world. So, please go to http://speedtest.net and check your speed and post here.
 [And my SpeedTest result is on my signature  ][Edit] Guys this is not a competition or anything like that. And don't hesitate to post your speed even if it is slow. Because i have even used a internet connection that has 30KBps download speed. And SpeedTest.NET automatically gives you forum code for your result when you test. Thanks

haha BarnD , that is not a bad download speed. when i was in nepal, the maximum download speed used to be 256 KBPS and upload speed used to be 64KBPS [and that was the maximum available there ]

And to clarify this a bit, Mbps and MBps are not same things [Notice the caps in the "B" on "MB"]. Mbps stands for megabits per second and MBps stands for megabytes per second. and 1MBps = 8 Mbps . So, when we download files, they are calculated in MBps. And SpeedTest.NET shows the results in Mbps. That means, even though i have 20Mbps speed, the downloads will occour in 20/8MBps that is equal to 2.5 MBps. So, venom gets to download files in 1/8 = 125KBps in average. As this is not always same, you might get a bit different download speed time to time. So, thanks for reading this boring text and sorry for making u bored.
[kidding ] And venom, your download speed is not bad. It is actually good compared to download speed in some places. I have even used internet on a pc with 30KBps download speed.[Yeah i mean KB and not MB. And im not kidding this time]

also yeah I came from dial-up but still wish I had more bandwidth.. fiber optic is my dream... my own server etc. |

I'm running on fiber optic internet, limited to 3.00MB, though with some hacking you can get around 100mbit or so, but it's not legal.
